Back to bare-metal repainted three years ago, the body is all aluminium with steel front wings and is said to have perfect shut-lines and wood framing, while the chrome is reportedly excellent. The nicely patinated interior's headlining, leather and woodwork are totally original apparently. A Daimler 'Straight Eight', such as this, is also potentially much better value than the equivalent pre-WW2 R-R or Bentley alternatives. ... Read More >

Immaculate condition claimed, wires, o/d, RHD 1963 MG MGC Roadster E10,000 (approx. £8,726 or $13,804) Powered by a sturdy Big Healey like six that churned out an unfussy 145bhp and could propel what is essentially an MG B body shell to 60mph in a torquey 10 seconds and up to 120mph in a truly Swinging Sixties Britain, the C Roadster is still one of the most under-appreciated of the pop classics. 2-door, manual, Ford fsh, 2 owners, 8714m, RHD1971 Ford Escort 1100L Mk1 Estimate £6,000-9,000 The first owner, a Miss E M Allen, purchased her new Escort in 1971 and only drove 8300 miles in the next 31 years of ownership. The second owner then barely used the car before it went on display in a Ford Museum in 2004 from where it only emerged recently. Purists will no doubt be absolutely appalled at my suggested vandalism of recycling the 2-door body shell from current time warp form into a BDA powered forest racer. Tut, tut. ... Read More >
