Just before the advent of the peaceful time of year, it's going to get traditionally loud again in Essen, like it always does. That's when the exhibition grounds on Norbertstrasse are transformed into a rallying point for all car enthusiasts - especially those who have a passion for the beautiful, the powerful, and the extremely powerful. Here is where the horsepower nobility from around the world gather for the last major unveiling in 2012.

Roland Mayer, Managing Partner of MTM in Wettstetten, on the border to Audi in Ingolstadt, perceives of the Essen Motor Show as more than a grand stage for manufacturers, tuners, and racing pilots: "When you take a day's time to check out the scene, you'll not only catch the trends, you'll also see what you should steer clear of. That is essential for product planning that is right on the mark."

His own strategic marksmanship is evident - sport auto, the leading trade magazine from Motor Presse Verlag publishers, has adorned its stand No. 140 in hall 3 with the MTM A1 Nardo Edition. The compact Audi with the big MTM heart made quite an impression in Southern Italy's Nardo, with the company boss behind the wheel: the 500 hp strong five-cylinder engine with 2.5 liters cubic capacity drove the compact package to 324 km/h. A world record!

The other two MTM exhibits in Essen also deliver outstanding performance. An R8 V10 (606 hp) and an RS 3 (472 hp), both with super high-tech finish by MTM, are eye-catchers in hall 11.

Together, MTM and SR-Performance man the stands 203 and 205. Insiders know that Simon Rogge is the man behind the abbreviation. Creations from the tuning expert's shop include a beefed-up VW Polo and a Ford Focus RS (382 hp), which shows off its power even when standing still. Next to them, but certainly not standing in the shadows, is a 1983 Golf I, which coaxes a juicy 312 hp from the 2 liters and four-cylinders, thanks to state-of-the-art TFSI engine technology - and with the blessing of the German Technical Control Board TÜV. The cooperation of these two high-performance companies is a done deal that extends far beyond the exhibition venue. In his headquarters in Hilden, Simon Rogge stands behind MTM interests in Rheinland both before and after.

The fair is open to specialist visitors, with a ticket costing 25.00 euros, on the 30th of November. Subsequently, entrance for adults is 16.00 euros. Schoolchildren over 17, students, and the disabled have to shell out 13.00 euros; children up to eight years of age accompanied by an adult come in free of charge. The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on the weekend doors open one hour earlier. MTM experts are available to consult you at the exhibits. We look forward to your visit..
